Situated in the small hamlet of Wheatcroft, just 4 miles from the A38 and 7 miles from the M1 and 5 miles from the A6, the Cruck Barn provides an idyllic spot to centre your holiday in Derbyshire. The Cruck Barn is a renovated medieval building with original cruck beam. It sleeps 2 people. There is a sofa bed for a child if required. You enter a double height kitchen, dining,sitting room via a stable door. A wood burning stove is available when the weather is inclement. Upstairs is a bed sitting room with adjoining shower room/ WC.  From the bedroom, through double patio doors there is  a balcony with views over the Amber Valley and 5 counties beyond. Outside is a private seating area for when the weather is good.  Free Wifi is also provided. Dogs welcome by arrangement at no extra charge,

Wheatcroft is the ideal hamlet to relax in. It is very rural, but only 7 miles from the M1. The only noise heard is bird song.
There is secure parking through a gated drive. Outside patio area is available with charcoal BBQ under the balcony. From the Balcony and the adjoining field you can see Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. The hamlet is within easy access to Matlock, Cromford, a World Heritage site, Matlock Bath and Crich Tram Museum. Other Peak District sites are within easy reach, including Chatsworth House , Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Kedleston Hall. The many pretty villages in the Peak District are well worth the visit as are the many walks.
The local Pub, with excellent reviews is only one mile away and there is a public footpath adjacent to the property leading to the village of Crich.
The Cruck Barn is an ideal central point for either visiting, walking or just relaxing.
